New year 2007 seems to start just great. At the end of January sunny New Zealand will be hosting ISAF Grade 1 event - Auckland Match Racing Cup. The event is organized by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron from Wednesday, January 24 to Sunday, January 28, 2007, on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.
Three of the world’s top ten skippers are set to compete in this prestigious regatta.
'The high level of skippers competing shows the significance of this event on the international yachting calendar, especially as it will be a final showcase of each skipper’s skills and abilities ahead of the America’s Cup in Valencia.'said John Crawford - Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Commodore.
