The host crew has closed their chances to continue the event on the last mark where the Poles made the best use of an offered situation from their opponent at the last turning mark, where Jure Orel (SLO) had no way of escape. That gave Tarnacki the third point that leads him into the semi finals. In the women’s group, the Croatian crew with Petra Kliba at the helm showed excellent sailing but not enough MR experience. They have won only one of their eight matches, against Silke Hahlbrock (GER), but not enough to make progress to the semifinals.
Excellent sailing conditions with Bora up to 15 knots gave the RC the conditions to finish nine flights. With two to go in the second round-robin we have the next situation:
