Russell Coutts about the Cup

"Luna Rossa is very dangerous and I see them winning the challengers final".
The very experienced cup campaigner, who skippered Alinghi to the Cup three years ago, sees Luna Rossa's James Spithill as a dominant factor in series which starts off Valencia on June 2007.
"Luna Rossa can rely on very good sailors and especially on James Spithill, one of the most talented helmsman of his generation", he said. "It's a very experimented team which retained the lessons learned during the last Cup in New Zealand".
Nevertheless, Russell Coutts has predicted the cup will be successfully defended by its former syndicate.
"Alinghi is the favourite", said the New Zealander. "It's a very strong syndicate with a design team combining the best in every field".
"It must be remembered that the final is a best of nine race series", he added. "Do you really think Alinghi will loss five races ?".
"I'm sure that Alinghi will win the Cup", he concluded before he added : "Deep in my heart I think Team New Zealand have not yet spoken its last word".
